About the work
Nishri’s artistic process emerges from a sensitive inquiry into material processes and chemical reactions. Her paintings are alive with movement - water, fermentation, pigment, and the slow fading of color, all contributing to an alchemical and unpredictable process. This organic rhythm produces vibrant, sensual surfaces where images seem to grow or dissolve before the viewer’s eyes.
Her works reflect a deep affinity with the worlds of textiles and fashion, through tactile, material engagement with surface and color, and through a subtle observation of how light, layering, and form come into being. Her paintings often echo natural imagery or appear as dreamlike fragments.
