About the work
Jonathan Reisner’s work is part of the Leipzig Drawings series, created during his time in the German city as part of his art studies. The series features a swift hand and linear drawings, exploring compositions, situations and motifs as studies preparing for painting.
As such, the drawing holds the space of an initial image, a movement of expression through line. At its core lies a dialogue between the artist’s hand, the receptive surface, and the vivid world of imagery within and around the artist.
